WJCC SF Mission newly revised to expand support opportunities

Since its inception in 2015, the Schools Foundation has operated with a Mission designed to provide funding for Innovative Learning Grants through a formal grant process. Over $300,000 in new classroom projects speaks to an overwhelming success of exposing students to ideas not currently in the curriculum. In a move to expand the types of programs that help teachers to support students, the Schools Foundation voted in August to revise the Mission Statement.

The new Mission Statement is streamlined to make it clear that it continues to accept ideas proposed through the annual grant program, but now other worthy ideas for education excellence originating from within the school division will be considered. The new Mission statement is:

The WJCC Schools Foundation partners with the community to provide resources that enrich teaching and inspire learning in helping our public schools toward education excellence for all students.
