2023-24 ILG Grants awarded ‘with love’ again!
A total of $34,350 was distributed to support nineteen Innovative Learning Grant (ILG) projects spanning the division. On Valentine’s Day members of the WJCC Schools Foundation Board and friends embarked on a journey to “spread the love” to eleven schools, surprising the students and teachers with checks, balloons and medallions for teachers whose projects will enrich, inspire and innovate their classrooms. Among this year’s funded initiatives are the creation of a sensory hallway, provision of home kits to foster stronger home-school connections, endeavors aiding kindergarten students in tuning their fine motor skills, and the development of a multicultural fine arts program aimed at linking elementary and high school students while celebrating Hispanic artists. We extend our gratitude to the educators who shared their aspirations with us, as well as to our generous donors whose unwavering support enables the implementation of cutting-edge projects benefiting our teachers and students and maximizing learning opportunities for all.
